The view from our shower was always a highlight. It was the fire place on the ground surrounded by wild Kwazulu Natal grass, the avo tree in front, the red flame tree(koraal boom) behind it and the brillant blue sky back drop... occasionally the guards would wonder past looking for a nutter or just checking up on house 5...
The garden was a typical Natal garden with flowers that attack you and monster leaves, all very green, poignant and wild.
I love the cafe sihn on the way to the post office with its 'well done my kids ' sign. I always wondered what the story was behind it...
The tennis court was a very old one with pot holes and loose pieces of gravel scattered all over the place. You had to really watch your steps when attempting a shot. Eunace loved playing tennis and the bays were often on the court with the rackets.
Our bedroom was large and light and a top favourite with the boys for bouncing on the bed! The mosquito net gave protection and provided a romantic cover.
Louis and Ralph had local friends who came to play lego, watch videos, steal fruit or play on the garden gym.
