Ndumo

We spent 3 lovely nights in this very dramatic bird sanctuary. Pitching tent was slightly difficult with the 2 boys jumping on the clean inner tent bedroom base and Ralph poking me in the eye with the only very sharp tent pole. The kids slept well. On the first night Ceri heard animals munching outside the tent(? hippo, heyena or rhino) . The following morning we saw 3 rhino in the camp site (50 yards) grazing away undisturbed. We went on a bird walk the first morning and on the last morning. Some highlights were the Bataleur, Pink-backed pelican, African eagle and various water birds. On the game drive we saw many crocs and hippos. We were chased by a very angry rhino bull, very narrow escape(nice to be in a 4 by 4). It was great to make a fire every night. Louis really likes braai broodjies.
