After a good few days in Johannesburg: thanks to Piet and Janine for editing my videos, drinking brandy and making schwarmas all in one evening. It is a pity we didn't shoot an outside shower introduction, but Piet was ill and time was short.
Nothing like an evening of bridge with coffee and uitkak at the Broekmans' home. I have to play again soon.
We made it back to Manguzi after a Dept of Home Affairs trip which was pretty useless. Gert the emigration runner will hopefully now take over. I got covered in wet paint and Ceri got off lightly with a migraine. Luckily we spent some time in Wakkerstroom! I really like this place.
We have now finally moved into our new accomodation and this house is cooler and has a really nice kitchen(thanks to Ceri) and garden. We have a vegetable patch and we have erected a ogiesdraad fence around it to prevent the wondering chickens from eating the seedlings. Louis and Ceri have planted flowers -all English- and we are now waiting to see if the red spiders are as bad as we have heard.
We saw a dead 'spotted bush snake'-killed unfortunately by a local young boy by our gate. Two week ago Mark showed us a Cobra(not sure which type) which made its way into one of the doctors' houses.
Louis now dives in an adult manner from the edge of the swimming pool. He is doing large quantities of work at school and he is engaging very well. He still plays with the Lego and listens to Kenske's Kingdom.
Ralph is keen on the chickens and not afarid af them anymore. He speaks very well and enjoys saying yes and no. He still breastfeeds and now claims to have Nja-Nja all night long.
Cecily has arrived in Rio and is starting a very long and exciting journey.
